B Root

USC Statement on Research

As a research university, USC supports research about and using DNS, including longitudinal analysis, privacy analysis, experimental evaluation of software and protocols, and working with organizations like DNS-OARC.

The primary goal of B Root is to provide a stable operational service to the Internet community. Research activities are secondary to this goal and will respect principles of ethical research embodied in the Menlo Report.

See data.md if you wish to learn more about research using B-Root datasets.
